So we are two days into our classes here now. There is a speaker from central Africa that has been flown in (Lysais), he's been involved with YWAM for many years, and has a lot to teach us, really pushes us in every way, and makes us think a lot. This weeks lecture focus is on the nature and character of God. It goes very in depth, and everyone has grown a lot.

There is something I heard the other day at a worship session, and yeah, I'd like to share it with you. "Your existence is because God chose to give you another day to live. Use it. Leave every place you go, better off than it was before." I found that very motivating and encouraging. They are equipping us very well on how to be disciples, and I know already that when we head out on our outreaches, God has huge things planned for this ministry team.

I have arrived to the YWAM Worcester base! The flight from London Heathrow till Cape Town was very long (12 hours) but good. When I arrived in Cape Town, there was no one to pick me up, but once again God provided just what I needed. The local people here are so kind, and so generous. A man saw me, came and phoned YWAM for me, and someone was on their way. While waiting I met two people in my class, one was actually on the same flight as me, but we had no idea! In my Children In Need Discipleship Training School (CINDTS) there will be approximately 24 students. I've met, and become friends with people from Australia, England, Ireland, Kansas, Victoria Island, local people, and many more. There are so many amazing people here, and I can see already that God will do amazing things through us all. Our school registration is tomorrow morning, and then we'll start with a more structured schedule. This is a very beautiful country. Mountains surrounding the city, and lakes, and yeah..everything has been really good so far! :).

September 23rd, 2009

Hey everyone! So yesterday my family and I left for the Winnipeg airport at 7:30 am. My flight was scheduled to depart at 9:40. Once we got there, we saw that the flight had been cancelled, so my whole itenerary was changed. I then left only at 4:35 pm, and arrived in Minneapolis at supper time. It was really hard leaving you all. I was feeling really lonely and unsure of myself because of all the changes, but God has been doing amazing things. Right from the beginning. While waiting in the terminal in Winnipeg, a middle aged African business man walked by me, I felt God telling me something.. but didn't know what. When I boarded the plane, he ended up right beside me. He was born and lived in South Africa for 16 years. He now travels the world, and told me absolutely everything I could ever want to know about the airports, and so much about South Africa and what kinds of things to look forward to, and be aware of. He was so kind, and an amazing man. He gave me contact information to his family in Cape Town if I had any trouble when I got there. That I know, was not a coincidence. In Minneapolis my flight was supposed to depart at 9:40 pm, but then got delayed till 10:15. Once I boarded the plane, there was problems with the plane, so we only took off just before midnight. Currently I am sitting in the London Heathrow Airport. It is so huge, but I love it. I had to take a bus to get to my terminal, and had to walk just over an hour to get where I needed to be. God has been teaching me so much, and the trip hasn't even really started. Even now, a lady sat beside me in the terminal, and she works with Christian childrens camps all around the world, and knows people from YWAM in South Africa. Every step of the way, I have not been alone, God keeps sending me amazing people at the right times. Thanks so much again, for all your prayers and support. Love Caitlyn.
